I was thinking my monthly bill would go down once the mega crossover finished, but check April out, it's nuts:

Uncanny, Legacy, X-factor, X-force, Young X-men, Cable, Wolverine, Divided we stand.

This was what it was like back in the late 90's when I dropped all my X-men books. The sheer bulk of books scared me off. I actually got out of comics that same year due to financial reasons though. I wonder what the chances are of me being able to pick up just Uncanny and Legacy without felling I am missing the big story. I tell you, Marvel really know how to milk a cow dry!

Also, this made me laugh: In the wake of Messiah CompleX, there are no X-Men

Oh really!!!!

I know exactly what you mean. It would be impossible for me to jump in on most X-books unless I dumped most of my other titles. It's one of the reasons I enjoyed Legion throughout the late 80s and 90s; both books have a similar beat to them, and Legion still tries to do an awful lot with their one monthly book -- often in contrast to massively decompressed 16-part story arcs in the X-titles.

At the moment I'm waiting for Paul Cornell's "eXcalibur" (sic) relaunch; Marvel proper will probably leave him to his own devices in that book. smile.gif

ya...i feel the same way. i havent read TOO much x-men, mainly just keeping up with main TPB. IM interseted in collecting a series, but i dont want to pick something up if im gunna be totally out of my league. If it relates to other stories thats cool, but i dont want to have to read all to enjoy any of the single series.

Hey guys, I've seen a small X-men: Divide we stand ad on the counter. What's this event about? Can someone fill me in?

I may check it out myself, not sure. I hate following all these tie-ins to follow a "X-story." dry.gif

I stick with the X-Men, even if there are hoardes of books. I really like them.
