Warner Bros have secured producers and a screenwriter for a new big-budget adaptation of the classic 1960s adventure show Jonny Quest. Producers Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter have been working on the film version of Devil's Due comic book Hack/Slash (about a serial killer who preys on serial killers -- high concept or what! tongue.gif ), and view Jonny as the potential successor to the Harry Potter family film audience. So they're really keeping their feet on the ground, obviously. wink.gif

I like the Jonny Quest shows, both the original and the often-sneered-at 1990s revival. I don't think he should ever have gone away -- more interesting than the Hardy Boys, Jonny could have been the Young Indiana Jones for several consecutive generations now. Instead, most kids will recognize Jonny from the bitter custody fight fought between Race and Dr Quest on Harvey Birdman. rolleyes.gif
